The Tesco / West Bank Products case went to a Pre-trial Hearing yesterday at Swansea Crown Court. The Barrister in the case is Palestinian Salma Karmi, and she broadly out-lined the defence against the charge of 'theft', referring to International Law and EU legislation in relation to the illegal Israeli Settlements in the West Bank /Jordan Valley and the products from them sold in this country. The Judge has listed the Trial for the 6th of July.d. Murphy and Greg Wilkinson who carried out the action at Tesco (though mysteriously the charges were dropped against Greg) hope the case will highlight the unlawfullness of any' West Bank' labelled products being sold in the UK.
